Join artists, scholars and students in a five  day exploration of tourism, commercialism and gender identities. The symposiums calls for an interdisciplinary response to shifting imaginations about the power and potential of Caribbean studies viewed through the lens of a sugar-saturated past.

El Diario del Che Gay en Chile

El Diario del Che Gay en Chile, retrato biográfico, político y cultural de Víctor Hugo Robles, activista de la diversidad sexual en Chile conocido como ‘El Che de los Gays’. La obra se pública inaugurando la primera editorial de la diversidad sexual en el país, reuniendo en su edición columnas de opinión, entrevistas, textos críticos, archivos de prensa, documentos e imágenes de performances del personaje. Entre otros/as, intervienen la periodista chilena Rita Ferrer Cancino; la crítica puertorriqueña Carmen Oquendo-Villar; Alejandro Modarelli, escritor argentino; Toli Hérnandez, activista lesbiana feminista de Chile; Juan Pablo Sutherland, escritor chileno; Alejandro Salvador Fernández Allende y la periodista Faride Zerán en el prólogo. Las fotografías corresponden a los reconocidos fotógrafos nacionales Álvaro Hoppe, Kena Lorenzini, Paz Errázuriz, Cristóbal Olivares, Jorge Sánchez y Juan Pedro Catepillán. La portada es una creación libre del artista plástico Francisco "Papas Fritas" inspirado en una fotografía del Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara.
